The practical answer
Some funding proposals may include a VAT deferral arrangement, but availability, timing and repayment conditions vary.
Ask what amount is deferred, when it becomes payable, what it costs and whether there are conditions linked to the agreement. Get the schedule in writing rather than relying on a headline description.
A deferral postpones cash outflow; it does not remove the liability or guarantee a VAT refund. Plan how the business will pay if recovery is delayed or differs from expectations.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
