The practical answer
It can be difficult because there is no positive equity to release and a shortfall may need funding separately.
Obtain a current settlement and realistic valuation, then identify the gap. A longer term or different payment structure does not make the negative equity disappear.
Discuss the full position rather than assuming a new lender will absorb the difference. Compare any additional cash, cost and risk with keeping the existing agreement or changing the purchase plan.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
