The practical answer
A purchase from the hire company may be considered if the seller can transfer title and the machine is acceptable to the lender.
Obtain a written purchase quote identifying the machine, condition, hours and VAT. Clarify whether any hire payments count towards the purchase price; do not assume they do.
Agree when hire charges stop and the finance payments start. If the arrangement is already hire purchase or lease rather than simple rental, the existing agreement needs reviewing first.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
