The practical answer
Some associated costs may be eligible, but lenders may distinguish recoverable asset value from transport and other project expenses.
Ask the supplier to separate the machine price, packing, freight, insurance, unloading and final delivery. Identify whether a UK supplier provides a complete delivered package or several overseas and local suppliers invoice separately.
Confirm eligible amounts and payment timing before committing. The business may still need cash for charges payable before the main facility can draw down.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
