The practical answer
Some associated items may be considered, but tooling, licences and recurring subscriptions are not necessarily funded on the same basis as the machine.
Split the quote into the machine, durable tooling, software, training and support. State whether software rights transfer with the machine and whether charges are one-off or recurring.
Ask which items qualify and over what term. A long-lived machining centre does not make consumables or an annual software subscription suitable security for the same repayment period.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
