The practical answer
It may be possible, but the lender needs to understand continued use, relocation costs and access to its asset.
Provide the premises lease end date and plans to renew or move. Fixed equipment can raise different issues from a portable forklift that can be relocated.
Budget for dismantling, transport and reinstalling where relevant, and check landlord consent and lender conditions. Do not assume that leaving the premises ends the finance agreement or permits abandoning the equipment.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
