The practical answer
Age alone does not give a universal yes or no; condition, value, remaining life and lender appetite all matter.
An older truck may need stronger service records and a shorter proposed term so the agreement does not run beyond a realistic operating life. High-value specialist equipment can require a separate assessment from the chassis.
Send accurate mileage, photographs, maintenance records and the intended job. Do not rely on a generic maximum age: lenders can apply different criteria to different truck types.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
