The practical answer
A refrigerated van may be eligible, but the lender needs to understand the vehicle and refrigeration conversion as one working asset.
Supply the chassis details, conversion specification, refrigeration-unit age and service history. A used unit’s condition can matter independently of the van’s mileage.
Check suitability for your required temperatures and operating hours with the supplier. Finance approval does not confirm food-safety compliance or cover losses if the equipment fails; maintenance and backup arrangements still need budgeting.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
