The practical answer
Self-drive hire or onward rental must be disclosed because some finance agreements restrict hiring the asset to third parties.
Explain who will operate the vans, typical hire periods, insurance arrangements and how vehicle location and condition are monitored. An ordinary business-use quote may not cover a hire operation.
Obtain written permission for the intended use before committing. DCF’s published van-hire case studies illustrate completed transactions, but do not establish that every lender permits rental or every hire business qualifies.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
