The practical answer
The outcome depends on sale terms, payment protections and the finance agreement; approval does not guarantee delivery or recover deposits.
Before ordering, ask who bears the risk at each milestone, when title transfers and whether any protections exist for advance payments. Consider independent legal advice for a material or complex overseas order.
If a problem occurs, notify the broker and lender before authorising more payments or signing acceptance. Keep correspondence, invoices and payment evidence so the parties can establish the position.
Commercial finance is subject to status, lender approval and the specific asset and transaction. The right structure depends on the complete circumstances of the business.
What should I do next?
Have the asset details, supplier information and an outline of what the business needs ready. DCF can then discuss the requirement and identify which lenders may be suitable.
